AMMON — An investigation into burglarized storage units led to a drug arrest Saturday, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said.
Managers of Ammon Storage discovered two units had been burglarized and called law enforcement. Deputies found about $15,000 in tools and other items had been stolen.
They also found tire and footprints in the snow, which led them to identify Spencer A. Wagner, 33, as a suspect.
Deputies and detectives discovered further evidence at Wagner’s home on on Rowland Street in Idaho Falls, the sheriff’s office said. They then obtained a search warrant for Wagner’s house and located the property missing from the storage units, as well as 1.1 grams of cocaine and 1.3 grams of methamphetamine.
Wagner was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail on two felony burglary charges, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor theft by receiving, possessing or disposing of stolen property.
Wagners combined bond is $50,000.
