IDAHO FALLS — The body of Steve Ryan Woods, 38, of Ogden, Utah was located in the Snake River Monday.
Woods had been missing since May 24th, following a boating accident on the upper section of the Snake River near Conant Valley Boat ramp.
On Monday, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a fisherman that had located the missing man. Deputies from Jefferson and Bonneville County sheriff’s offices responded to the Snake River just downstream between Heise and Twin Bridges. Woods had been snagged up in some roots off of a tree. A Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office dive team member was able to get him untangled.
The family of Mr. Woods have expressed heartfelt appreciation from all of the volunteers that have assisted with this search.
