IDAHO FALLS — Rock band Parabelle will headline the Lend Me An Ear concert at the Colonial Theater in Idaho Falls on March 19.

The event, aimed at all-ages, will help raise money for the Domestic Violence Center in Idaho Falls, the Piano Gallery’s “Bach to Rock Music School” program and several other causes.

“We shouldn’t just help people around the holidays,” event promoter Manny Ibarra told EastIdahoNews.com. “We wanted to help and figured we could do it with a rock concert best.”

Selectel Wireless and Grease Monkey are presenting the Lend Me An Ear concert that will feature bands Berlin Breaks, Ash of August and headliner Parabelle.

Lend Me An Ear Cellular, owned by Victor Ibarra, and his brother Manny have both been involved with the local music scene and wanted to help bring more music to Idaho Falls. Ibarra reached out to Parabelle and the Colonial Theater and helped organize the event as a way for the band to promote their upcoming DVD concert and bring music to Idaho Falls.

Parabelle is a melodic rock band featuring former lead singer of Evans Blue Kevin Matisyn with Kyle Mathis, Aaron Burton and Howard Davis. The band was started in Toronto, but is now based in Dallas, Texas. According to Ibarra the band’s music goes from harder to light, some screaming and a lot of melody. Since 2008 Parabelle has released five studio albums and headlined many U.S. tours, according to the band’s website.

Promoters stress the concert is suitable for all ages and will not feature adult language. Lend Me An Ear Cellular wants to promote the same family values they do in their store and allow people to have fun.

“People can come and enjoy the music with their kids and have a good time,” Ibarra said. “It’s great to have a band up on stage with no cussing.”

The concert is being sponsored by Val-You Card, IF signs, Allstate (Mark Eldredge), Redneknation Recording Studios, Brandz 13 and Candlewood Suites. Tickets are currently on sale for $15 general admission with VIP tickets to the event costing $25. The Show open at 6:00 p.m., show starts at 6:45 p.m.

For more information about the event visit the Lend Me An Ear website.
