IDAHO FALLS — Police deployed a Taser on a wanted man who resisted arrest Thursday afternoon on the 500 block of Highland Drive.
Nearly a dozen Idaho Falls Police officers, Idaho State troopers and emergency personnel responded to the area around 2 p.m.
Paramedics were called to the scene after the Taser was deployed.
Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen says the suspect resisted arrest, but she did not release the man’s name or provide further details about the incident.
Idaho Falls Animal Services were called to the incident and removed two pit bulls from a home. It is unclear if the dogs belonged to the suspect.
Authorities say further details will be released Friday.
