Michael Taylor, 55, was listed in critical condition Saturday morning at Portneuf Medical Center, where he was airlifted following the crash. Hospital officials told the Idaho State Journal that Taylor is being treated in PMC’s intensive care unit.

The following is a news release from the Idaho State Police.
SODA SPRINGS — Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle, injury crash eastbound on U.S. Highway 30 at milepost 403, two miles west of Soda Springs.
The crash occurred just after 2 p.m. on Friday, according to a news release.
Michael Taylor, 55, of Rigby, was eastbound on Highway 30 in a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup. Brandon Hansen, 29, of Pocatello, was westbound on Highway 30 in a 2012 Volvo semi pulling a single trailer.
The Dodge crossed into the westbound lanes and struck the Volvo. The Dodge rolled and came to rest off the right shoulder. Hansen pulled his vehicle over to the right shoulder.
Taylor was not wearing a seatbelt. He was transported to Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs by ground ambulance and then to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello by air ambulance.
Hansen was wearing his seatbelt. He was treated for minor injuries at the scene and not transported.
All lanes were blocked for approximately one hour, and there was partial blockage for an additional two hours.
The Idaho State Police were assisted by the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office, Caribou County Fire Department and EMS. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
