One person taken to EIRMC after car rolls under bridge

IDAHO FALLS — Police and emergency personnel are at the scene of a one-vehicle injury crash under the railway bridge on Yellowstone Highway near E Street.

Idaho Falls police and the Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to the crash just after 2 p.m. Monday.

It’s unclear what caused the accident, but the vehicle — a silver four-door Volkswagen — rolled in the underpass before coming to a stop.

Authorities say one person was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Traffic is proceeding slow on Yellowstone Highway. One lane of traffic is closed to allow authorities to clear the crash.
