IDAHO FALLS — A small number of Idaho Falls Power customers are without electricity after a dump trump struck two power poles on John Adams Parkway.
The accident occurred before 5 p.m. when the truck, that was filling pot holes, struck the poles knocking them into a nearby tree.
Idaho Falls Power is on scene attempting to repair the damage. City officials estimate power will be restored by 7:30 p.m.
The outage also knocked out the stop lights at the intersection of 9th Street and Woodruff Ave. City officials say to treat the intersection as a four-way stop until power is restored.
The exact number of customers without power was unavailable.
