The following is a news release from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
On Tuesday a deputy from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a construction worker being struck by a vehicle in the Last Chance area of Island Park.
The deputy made contact with 29-year-old Jeanie K. Dionne, who reported that she was flagging in the construction zone when a vehicle disregarded her instruction and struck her with the vehicle.
After investigation by the deputy, 54-year=old Laurie Lyn Augustin was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and careless/inattentive driving.
Follow-up investigation was still underway today by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office.
