Colton Merrill | Bingham County Sheriff’s Office
BINGHAM COUNTY — A 23-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly led deputies on a pursuit late Tuesday night.
Colton Merrill failed to stop when a deputy tried to pull him over around 11:45 p.m., according to a news release from Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland.
Rowland said Merrill drove north on I-15 until he was spiked at milepost 110 by the Idaho State Police. He continued to drive for about a mile and then crashed into a canal.
Merrill was taken into custody and was charged with felony eluding and driving without privileges.
Rowland said no one was hurt in this incident.
