The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.
SHELLEY — On Nov. 5 at approximately 1:50 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle, injury crash northbound I-15 at milepost 105, south of Shelley.
Marcie Ogilvie, 52, of St. George, Utah, was northbound in the left lane in a 2015 Ford Focus. John Poulter, 48, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was directly ahead of the Ford Focus in a 2014 Nissan Rogue. W. Randall Porter, 68, of Rexburg, was in the right lane in a 2015 Ford F-150, next to the Nissan.
The Ford Focus struck the Nissan from behind, causing the Nissan to strike the side of the Ford F-150. The Nissan left the roadway on the right shoulder and overturned, coming to rest off the right side of the roadway. The Ford F150 overturned on the roadway and slid to a stop in the lane of travel. The Ford Focus left the roadway on the left shoulder and came to rest in the median.
Ogilvie, Poulter, Porter, and Porter’s passenger, Trudy Porter, 68, of Rexburg, were all wearing their seatbelts. Poulter was transported to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance. The right lane of travel was blocked for approximately one hour and forty minutes.
The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
