IDAHO FALLS — A 38‐year‐old woman has been arrested after allegedly being found in possession of a stolen purse and iPad.
Idaho Falls Police arrested Tyanna D. Coffey early Thursday morning after an app tracking stolen property led them to her home, according to a news release.
Police reports show officers received information from a 26‐year‐old Shelley woman that her purse and iPad were stolen while she was at Ford’s Bar on Wednesday. The victim used the “Find My iPhone” app to trace the iPad to a residence, owned by Coffey, in the 200 block of Fifth Street.
Officers responded to the home and spoke with Coffey. Police say they discovered Coffey was in possession of the Shelley woman’s purse and iPad.
Coffey, of Idaho Falls, was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on charges of grand theft and fraudulent possession of a financial transaction card. Coffey will make an initial court appearance this afternoon.
