The following is a news release from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.
SWAN VALLEY — Last evening just after 6 p.m. the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a possible structure fire on the Snake River Rd. in the Swan Valley area.
The area of the fire was outside of the Swan Valley Fire District and Sheriff deputies enacted a mutual aid agreement with the Ammon Fire Department who responded.
As Deputies arrived, they found a single wide home completely engulfed and no other structures threatened.
Deputies were able to contact the resident who advised a portable propane stove caught fire and quickly spread. The resident was the only person home at the time and was not injured.
The home was a complete loss and the fire is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
