IDAHO FALLS — There are no severe weather alerts in eastern Idaho for Tuesday, March 7. However, snow showers and breezy conditions remain in the forecast throughout the region.
Two road closures are being reported as of 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Idaho Highway 34 between Soda Springs and the Wyoming State Line is closed due to drifting and blowing snow. Idaho Highway 32 between Ashton and Tetonia also remains closed for the same reason. It is unclear when the roads will reopen.
The Idaho Transportation Department reports fair or difficult road conditions on most highways in the following counties: Bannock, Caribou, Franklin, Bear Lake, Power, Oneida, Teton, Fremont and Clark. Packed snow, icy patches and blowing snow is being reported on many of the roads.

Idaho Falls and Rexburg
The Rexburg and Idaho Falls areas will see mostly clouds Tuesday. There is a slight chance of snow in the morning and a greater chance in the afternoon. Up to 2 inches of snow could fall in the region. Expect southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with highs of 30 to 37 degrees. At night, there is a 50 percent chance of snow or rain with continued wind and temperature lows of 26 to 33 degrees.
Pocatello
The Pocatello area will be mostly cloudy Tuesday with a chance of snow — up to 2 inches may occur. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected throughout the day with highs of 32 to 41 degrees. During the night, there is a 50 percent chance that 1 to 3 inches of snow will fall. Winds speeds will remain the same with lows of 29 to 36 degrees.
St. Anthony, Ashton, Island Park, Driggs, and Victor
The Upper Valley and Teton Valley will see increasing clouds Tuesday with a chance of snow throughout the day. NWS predicts 1 to 3 inches could fall with temperature highs of 26 to 33 degrees. There is a high chance of snow in the evening with 2 to 4 inches predicted. Temperatures will drop to between 24 to 31 degrees.
Arco, Challis, and Mackay
It’ll be mostly cloudy Tuesday with a chance of up to 2 inches of snow. Temperatures will reach between 28 and 36 degrees during the day and drop to between 21 and 29 at night. An additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible Tuesday night.
Henry, Soda Springs, Downey, and Lava Hot Springs
The region will be cloudy with a chance of 1 to 3 inches of snowfall during the day. Temperatures will reach between 29 to 37 degrees. Snow is likely Tuesday night with 2 to 4 inches expected. Temperatures will drop to between 26 to 33 degrees.
