BLACKFOOT — A YouCaring fundraising account has been established for the family of a toddler who died after being trapped in an SUV that crashed into a pond Monday evening.
2-year-old Brynlie Carver was in the vehicle with her mother, 21-year-old Cheyenne Rane, and two passengers, 24-year-old Blake Carver and 3-year-old Paitynn Carver.

Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland says Rane was driving on a gravel bar covered in water at the Rose Ponds when the SUV slipped off the bar into a 12-foot hole filled with water.
Everyone else in the vehicle was able to escape but Brynlie was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical after a rescue diver pulled her out. She died early Tuesday morning, according to family members.
Funds raised from the YouCaring account will help pay for Brynlie’s funeral.
In a message posted on the page, Shawn Carver, Blake’s father and Brynlie’s grandfather, wrote:
Patty Gosnell Carver and I are humbled by the outpouring of love from our wonderful friends and family. We’re comforted with the knowledge of our Redeemers plan of salvation and that this separation from our loved ones is very temporary. We will see our sweet granddaughter Brynlie once again, and her parents will get the opportunity to finish raising her even as a young innocent child.
Watching my son grieve this loss is probably the hardest thing I’ve yet to face. We feel so powerless to ease their pain but am buoyed up with the support we have received. I thank you so very much on behalf of my wife and our family.
Funeral plans have not been announced.
