The following is a news release and mugshot from the Blackfoot Police Department.
BLACKFOOT — On March 23, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Blackfoot Police Officers responded to a residence on the 1600 block of Camas St., to assist with an ambulance call for an unresponsive child under 2.
The child was transported to Bingham Memorial Hospital and then taken to EIRMC in critical condition.
The City of Blackfoot/Bingham County Detective Division is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
At this time Jesus Adan Castillo, 22, of Blackfoot, is in custody for felony aggravated battery and felony injury to child.
No further comments will be given as the investigation is ongoing.
