POCATELLO — Authorities are looking for a man with serious health conditions who wandered away from the Idaho State Veterans Home Wednesday evening.
Abrocio “Nick” Jaramillo, 36, was reported missing from the veterans home on Alvin Ricken Drive around 5 p.m.
“He has only been in Pocatello about a week,” Jaramillo’s sister, Yolanda Jaramillo-Vialpando, tells EastIdahoNews.com. “He has Huntington’s disease and PTSD. He is delusional and I don’t think he can last a whole other day out there.”
Pocatello police, along with the Pocatello Fire Department, Bannock County Search and Rescue and the Portneuf Medical Center emergency helicopter, searched for Jaramillo Wednesday night without success.
“He doesn’t know anyone’s phone numbers or where they live,” said Jaramillo-Vialpando. “He wanted to get back to Wyoming, where he thinks he has a wife and kids.”
Police are continuing the search for Jaramillo this morning. He may be in danger. He has a beard, glasses and was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, pants and white sandals with black soles.
If you have any information on Jaramillo’s whereabouts, call the Pocatello Police Department at (208) 234-6100.
