IDAHO FALLS – A local man is in custody after he turned himself for prescription fraud Thursday morning.

Police say James D. Hagan, 26, altered a prescription and illegally obtained a 30-day supply of Oxycodone.

Hagan’s mother, Judy Hagan, tells EastIdahoNews.com her son just completed a 90-day drug treatment program at the Renaissance Ranch.

She says Hagan voluntarily turned himself into law enforcement and is accepting the consequences of his actions.

The fraud incident was reported to police in May.

Hagan of Idaho Falls has been booked into the Bonneville County Jail. He will appear in court Friday afternoon.
