POCATELLO — Ashley Omas, 25, was arrested Sunday, Oct. 11, after she kidnapped two small children.
Pocatello Police report a local family called the authorities after Omas removed the children from their residence and refused to return them.
After a few hours of searching, police located Omas and the children walking down the street. Omas is a relative of the children and had been warned by family and police that she does not have permission to take the children, police spokeswoman Dianne Brush said.
The children were unharmed, and Omas was arrested for second degree kidnapping and booked into the Bannock County Jail. Omas remains in jail where no bond has been set. She will appear in court Tuesday, Oct.13.
