REXBURG — A ten-year-old boy received minor injuries after a woman ran him over in a school parking lot Thursday night.
Police say the boy was sitting in the grass of Adams Elementary School when a 39-year-old woman ran over both of his legs.
“The driver was trying to pull out of the parking lot but most of it was blocked off,” Rexburg Police Department Capt. Randy Lewis said. “She tried to perform a three point turn on the grass near the parking lot and that’s when she hit the boy.”
The child was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital by ambulance and was released to go home last night.
Police say the boy’s injures were minor and no bones were broken.
The woman is not facing criminal charges.
