IDAHO FALLS – Eastern Idaho Technical College is hosting an open house for its growing business program.
Having business education can serve as a valuable asset in any field, Business Office and Technology Division Manager Leslie Jernberg said.
“We really want to highlight to the community what we can offer to people who are seeking additional education in business areas,” Jernberg said.
The open house will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in building 2 at EITC on Hitt Road.
The department offers one- and two-year degrees or certificate programs in marketing and management, legal technology, web development and more.
Because of the low student-to-teacher ratio, the business programs are able to offer a personalized experience and hands-on learning, Jernberg said.
This is the first open house the business department has offered. Faculty will be giving presentations on details of the programs, as well as tours of classrooms and labs.
“Business is embedded in every industry,” Lernberg said. “A strong business background helps a student or professional to be able to go to whatever industry is thriving at that moment.”
