DOWNEY — Idaho State Police are investigating several injury accidents on Interstate-15 that occurred during the morning of Thursday, Nov. 26.
The first crash at milepost 31, south of Downey, involved a vehicle and a snow plow. Both of the northbound lanes are being impacted by this crash.
The second crash is on I-15 at milepost 84, south of Blackfoot. The right northbound lane is being impacted by this crash.
Idaho State Police have not said if anyone was transported to the hospital.
On Wednesday, Nov. 25, Idaho State Police and the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office reported 19 crashes, rollovers or slide-offs in the same area between milepost 79 and 89.
Seven-year-old Madelyn Holbrook died in a two-vehicle crash at milepost 81 on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Her mother Elena Holbrook, 39, of Blackfoot was airlifted to Portneuf Medical Center. Three other children in the vehicle received minor injuries and were treated and released. A GoFundMe account for the family has raised more than $20,000 since Tuesday.
Idaho State Police are advising motorists to use caution when traveling through these areas as winter weather conditions exist.
