IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho falls man was arrested late Wednesday, Dec. 2, on a warrant for felony attempted strangulation.
Idaho Falls Police say Tommy L. Ivey Jr. attempted to strangle his 37-year-old girlfriend on Nov. 12 at their residence on the 300 block of East 19th Street, according to a news release. Police spokeswomen Joelyn Hansen said
the 34-year-old man also allegedly slapped, punched and kicked the victim in the face and ribs.
At the time of the incident Idaho Falls Police were unable to locate Ivey and requested a field warrant. On Wednesday, police were tipped off that Ivey was back in the residence.
Ivey was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail with a bond of $30,000.
He will appear in court Thursday, Dec. 3.
