IDAHO FALLS — A single-vehicle rollover crash into a power pole occurred on South 45th East in Bonneville County around 4 p.m. Monday.
It’s unclear what caused the accident, but the driver, a male who has not been identified, went off the road in his Black Hummer. The vehicle then rolled and struck a power pole before landing on its back.
Emergency personnel had to extricate the man before he was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
The extent of his injuries are unknown.
Due to extensive damage to the still-active power pole, police closed off a portion of the road.
Rocky Mountain Power is en route to the crash, and the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
