Man dead after collision with semi-truck near Ashton

ASHTON — Idaho State Police are investigating a fatality crash on U.S. Highway 20 about 6 miles northeast of Ashton.

The accident occurred shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at milepost 367.

Authorities say David Brallier, age 73 of Annandale, VA was westbound on US-20 in a Toyota Corrola when he crossed over the center line and struck a semi truck driven by Judy Dell, 52, of Shelley, according to a news release.

Brallier was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash as a result of his injuries.

His passenger, Cheryl Brallier, 66, also of Annandale, VA, was transported by ground ambulance to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.

Dell, the driver of the semi, was not injured. Idaho State Police were assisted by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, and by Fremont County and Madison County EMS.
